On April 30, 1939, Lou Gehrig played his last game, Yankees vs Senators.  The Yanks lost 3-2, with Gehrig going 0-4.

I'm selling this lot of autographed index cards from 11 players who were on the field during that game, plus Babe Dahlgren who didn't play that day but then replaced Gehrig when the consecutive game streak ended in the next game.

Joe Gallagher's autograph alone is an outstanding keepsake about that game, inscribed, "My greatest thrill in baseball was playing in Lou Gehrig's last game, 2130 consecutive games, He was a great player but a greater person"

Player names are written on backs or fronts in pencil or pen or typed as shown in the photos.  By now, the cards have been discoloring from age.  Condition is generally good, though Wright is a bit wavy/rumpled.
