Large size round mirror in blue-grey tinted clear acrylic plastic frame with integrated side handles. This vintage 1970s wall mirror has handles and tilt mechanism on the side. These circular handled mirrors were also highly popular as vanity dresser trays for organizing perfumes and jewelry.
During the 1970s, injection-molded acrylics, Lucite, and colored plastics exploded in popularity across Australia, featuring sleek geometric profiles and built-in utility handles.
The Space-age mid century modern design is still a fabulous fit for any modern or mid century interior.
In excellent vintage condition, very minor signs of use. The mirror has no marks. The plastic is in excellent unmarked condition.
Has a tilt mechanism on the side, however the frame for this is missing. So this could be replaced with a little ingenuity.
Measures 50 cm diameter.
A rare and hard to find example from the funky 1970s era.
Marked on the back, but hard to read stamped maker’s label. I believe I can read “Adelaide” and “1973”
