DDG-125 Jack Lucas is an advanced sub-model of Ali Burke class-Burke III guided missile destroyer. Compared with the previous model, the upgrade of Burke-3 focused on AN/SPY-6(V)1 system and missile defense radar (AMDR). It includes the upgrade of power and cooling performance and the upgrade of combat information exchange, thus, the combat capability of Burke III has been greatly enhanced. AMDR enables Burke-3 to perform both air defense operations and ballistic missile defense missions.
