Vintage Chinese famille rose porcelain covered box decorated with colorful floral and butterfly enamels against a vibrant cobalt blue ground. The domed cover features a large peony blossom surrounded by scrolling foliage, butterflies, and decorative border motifs, while the interior is decorated with three butterflies. The underside bears a six-character underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark (Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi). Such marks are commonly found on later Chinese porcelains as honorific references to the celebrated Qianlong period and do not necessarily indicate an 18th-century date.
Likely produced during the late 19th to 20th century in the famille rose tradition. Suitable as a decorative box, trinket container, or display piece.
