In good condition, we have for you a first edition, early printing copy of Boston (Volume II) by Upton Sinclair. A green cloth hardback, the font cover art has some gilding on its depiction of the dome on the Massachusetts State House in the titular Boston.

Boston: A Novel is Upton Sinclair’s historical and political novel centered on the Sacco and Vanzetti case, one of the most controversial trials of the 1920s. The novel follows the public outcry surrounding Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian immigrant radicals accused of murder during a payroll robbery in Massachusetts. Sinclair blends fictional characters with real events to explore questions of justice, class prejudice, labor politics, anti-immigrant sentiment, and the fear of radicalism in America. Volume II, beginning on page 375, continues the larger story through the legal struggle, public debate, and growing national and international attention around the case, making it a strong collectible for readers interested in American political fiction, courtroom history, and social protest literature.

The cover has only very minimal wear for its vintage-bordering-on-antique age. The front pastedown (inside of the front cover) has a large pasted-in personal genealogical bookplate. The pages are straight, clean, and free of writing or any other markings.
