This is an original DeRosa Rinconada Silver Anniversary Collection 'SEA TURTLE' lidded box figurine, item #1604. This adorable little turtle box is part of a small subset of the Silver Anniversary collection - not as many boxes were made as compared to the normal solid pieces, making this relatively scarce! I did notice some crazing from normal aging on some of the non-textured surfaces.
DeRosa Rinconada figurines are internationally recognized for their artistic & elegant use of platinum, gold, & other vibrant color enamel glazes in the creation of their hand-made ceramic figurines.
All DeRosa Rinconada pieces are hand carved and painted in Uruguay. Because they are all hand painted and carved no two are exactly alike. That is one of the beautiful things about DeRosa Rinconada as it makes each piece unique in its own way.
This figurine is used but has been lovingly cared for in a personal collection, safely tucked away in a display case for many years! As such it is in wonderful condition and will come in the original box. The piece is approximately 1.5” tall x 2.5” wide x 2.5” deep.
