Vintage Raleigh Royal Reynolds 531 ST handbuilt steel touring bike frame and fork.

This burgundy frame has a threaded rear derailleur hanger, mudguard and rack eyelets, two sets of bottle cage bosses and standard M5 threaded bosses for braze-on down tube shifters. The frame and fork have bosses for cantilever brakes and are built from Reynolds 531 ST tubing and have Shimano forged dropouts..

Approx. 54cm (21.25") seat tube measured vertically from the centre of the bottom bracket to the very top of the seat tube.

Approx. 56cm (22") top tube measured horizontally from the centre of the head tube (just below the headset) to the centre of the seat tube.

Distance between front dropouts approximately 100mm.

Distance between rear dropouts approximately 126mm.

Standard English threaded 68mm bottom bracket shell.

1" threaded headset with caged ball bearings.

The frame was originally built for 700c wheels.

Weight approximately 3kg including the frame, fork and headset.

In clean vintage condition. The paintwork presents well overall but shows signs of age and use. There are age-related marks, scratches, areas of paint loss and some surface rust/patina. The decals show some wear, scratches and discolouration. There is noticeable paint wear around the chainstay bridge and paint loss to the dropouts. The headset components and bottom bracket threads are in good order and ready for use.
