Fender American Standard Telecaster UpGrade Maple Fingerboard - Black

Made in 2012

The highly versatile American Standard Series.
It is one of Fender's most beloved models, featuring improved playability based on ease of use in terms of sound, genre-less sound creation through carefully selected parts, and overall design that has been appreciated in every aspect.
The headstock face and body are finished in luxurious and durable gloss urethane, while the back of the neck features a satin finish that combines playability and appearance.
The neck shape is a Modern C that is neither too thick nor too thin, accommodating all playing styles, and the 9.5-inch fingerboard radius allows for low-action setups.
Furthermore, the body back contour provides a comfortable fit against the player, enabling stable performance. The bridge plate is a flat type without side walls, improving right-hand playability, and the 6-way saddles allow for more precise intonation adjustment. Although it has a traditional appearance at first glance, it is a hybrid model packed with modern specifications.

- Basic Adjustment -
String replacement, neck adjustment, action adjustment, and intonation adjustment have been performed.
D'Addario EXL120 (.009-.042 gauge) strings have been installed, and the guitar has been set up to approximately 2.0mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string and approximately 1.5mm at the 12th fret on the 1st string.
The same string gauge as when new has been used, and the action has been set up considering the string tension feel.
Since the fingerboard radius is 9.5 inches, if .010-.046 gauge strings are used, the action can be lowered slightly further while maintaining good playability.
If requested, we can also set it up with .010-.046 gauge strings before delivery.
The neck has been adjusted to an almost straight condition (slight forward bow), providing excellent playability with no noticeable fret buzz. The truss rod functions properly in both directions and sufficient adjustment room remains.

- Fret Leveling -
When the guitar arrived at our store, the frets had indentations, so fret leveling was performed.
After the work, approximately 70% to 80% fret life remains, and playability is excellent.

- Electronics Check -
Currently in good condition with no noticeable noise or scratchy pots.

- Cleaning -
The entire instrument has been cleaned according to the characteristics of the model.
It has been cleaned as thoroughly as possible without compromising its texture or character.

▼ Cosmetic Condition
There is one small topcoat chip on the 1st-string side of the neck pocket (not very noticeable), and there is significant finish wear around the body end.
The screws, especially the pickguard screws, show rust and deterioration, and the pole pieces of the rear pickup also show noticeable rust.
In addition, there are small scratches and dents consistent with its age, but there are few major damages, making this a relatively well-preserved instrument.

* Due to the black finish, scratches are difficult to capture in photographs, and many may not be visible.
Please understand in advance that there are signs of use, aging, and scratches appropriate for its age.

▼ Accessories
Original hard case, manual, adjustment wrench, cloth, strap, and tags are included.
