Overview

DNM Stereo Solid Core Precision 3 speaker cable is constructed using a compact stereo ribbon design with four precisely spaced conductors. Maintaining a constant conductor spacing throughout the full cable length provides significant performance advantages by improving the cable’s magnetic behaviour and preserving signal integrity.

The result is a clean, fast and highly coherent sound with excellent timing and low coloration, characteristics DNM cables are particularly well known for.

DNM stereo speaker cable contains both the left and right channels within a single 4-conductor ribbon. The ribbon is designed to be easily separated at the speaker end for connection to both speakers.

Installation Notes

Amplifier Positioned To One Side

For best performance, separate the ribbon at the speaker end back to approximately the midpoint between the speakers. This maintains equal cable lengths for both left and right channels.

If equal channel lengths are not essential, the nearer channel can be shortened for a cleaner and tidier installation.

Amplifier Positioned Between Speakers

Order sufficient cable length to comfortably reach the speaker furthest from the amplifier. The ribbon may then be separated into two 2-conductor runs if required.

DNM strongly recommends retaining at least half a metre of the cable in its original 4-conductor ribbon form at the amplifier end in order to preserve the cable’s intended directionality and performance characteristics.
