Piso's Cure for Consumption was made by Hazeltine & Co in Warren, Pennsylvania starting in 1864. The original formula contained opium, cannabis, chloroform, and alcohol. In 1872 they removed the opium because of a government ban, but it still contained the other sedative ingredients. It cured nothing, but the afflicted certainly felt better!
This is a dug bottle from a farm dump near Boiling Springs where a young girl died of consumption.
