A special piece from Cleveland, Ohio, history, a late Victorian hand painted platter from the fine jewelry and retail store Cowell and Hubbard. Known in its heyday as the Tiffany's of the Midwest, Cowell and Hubbard was located downtown on Euclid Avenue.

The platter is hand painted with a border of roses and other flowers in a Gilded Age style. Although unmarked with a specific Charles Ahrenfeldt backstamp, it is almost certain it was manufactured in France by the famed Limoges factory around 1900.

In very good condition.
