For sale is a JVC MX-KC45 Compact Component Stereo System with matching JVC speakers and remote. This is a great-sounding compact shelf system with a 3-disc CD changer, dual cassette decks, AM/FM tuner, AUX input, Sound Turbo, sound modes, animated display/level meters, and CD-R/RW / MP3 / WMA playback capability.

This system has been carefully cleaned, serviced, and fully tested. When I received it, the CD drawer was not operating properly. The CD changer has since been serviced with a new tray belt, the internal changer mechanism was cleaned, and fresh grease was applied to the CD changer gears. The CD changer now opens/closes properly, loads discs correctly, and plays CDs as it should.

The 3-disc CD changer includes Play & Exchange, which allows the tray to open so discs can be exchanged while another CD continues playing uninterrupted. The system also supports repeat, random, and programmable CD playback, including the ability to program tracks from up to three discs into a custom play order.

Both cassette decks have been tested and are working. The tape heads/paths were cleaned and demagnetized. Deck A and Deck B both play properly, and Deck B supports recording. The system also includes CD synchro recording and tape dubbing features.

The AM/FM tuner, AUX input, CD playback, cassette playback, controls, display, speaker outputs, and included speakers have all been tested. The rear cooling fan operation was also confirmed during higher-output playback. This unit has a surprisingly full, rich sound for a compact shelf system and easily fills a room with sound.

Cosmetically, the system presents very nicely overall. There are some light scuffs/scratches from normal use, mainly on the top of the main unit, along with a small scuff on the ring of one speaker. I made an effort to show these areas in the photos, but some light marks may be easier to see in person under certain lighting. These cosmetic flaws are minor and do not affect performance.
