RMS OLYMPIC GRAND STAIRCASE ARTIFACT PLAQUE

Limited Edition No. 4of 20

Own a Genuine Piece of White Star Line History

This exclusive 20cm x 20cm natural slate plaque forms part of my inaugural RMS Olympic Grand Staircase Collection and features original artwork of RMS Olympic alongside her famous Grand Staircase, together with an authentic piece of timber originating from the Grand Staircase complex itself.

I am Steve Hale, digital artist and creator of Paintery.ai. Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to acquire a section of timber connected to RMS Olympic, the legendary sister ship of RMS Titanic and HMHS Britannic. For years, I preserved it while considering how best to honour its remarkable history and create something worthy of its legacy.

The result is a collection designed not simply as artwork, but as a lasting connection to one of the greatest ocean liners ever built.

This plaque is Number 3 of only 20 pieces that will ever be produced in this format. Once the edition is complete, this design and size will be permanently retired, making each plaque a genuinely limited collectible.

A Unique Feature of Number 3

What makes this particular piece especially fascinating is that traces of the original Art Deco green paint can still be seen on the timber.

During RMS Olympic’s famous 1930s refit, sections of the Grand Staircase and surrounding interiors were modernised and repainted in the fashionable Art Deco style of the period. The surviving green paint visible on this artifact is believed to date from that era, providing a remarkable glimpse into one of the final chapters of Olympic’s distinguished career.

Holding this piece is not only holding part of the Grand Staircase itself, but also a surviving fragment of Olympic’s transformation during the golden age of ocean travel.

Certificate of Authenticity Included

Included with the plaque is a fully authenticated, individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity, personally signed by Steve Hale, documenting the provenance of the timber and its connection to the RMS Olympic Grand Staircase complex.

The Story of RMS Olympic

Launched in 1910 and entering service in 1911, RMS Olympic was the lead ship of the Olympic-class trio. While her sister Titanic became the most famous ship in history, Olympic enjoyed a distinguished career spanning nearly twenty-five years and became affectionately known as “Old Reliable.”

Today, authentic Olympic artifacts are increasingly scarce, making opportunities to own genuine pieces of her history exceptionally rare.
