This beautiful clear glass decorative platter was produced by artist Dorothy Thorpe of California during the gilded days of mid-century Hollywood.

This platter is an example of the fine sand-blasting technique Thorpe employed for this style of her elegant minimalist art glass pieces.

This platter measures about 13 inches long and 10 inches wide. It features a large etched lily and thick glass that gracefully curves upward at both ends.

The piece is in excellent vintage condition and has only very light scuffing in two small spots on the bottom where the platter rested. See the photographs.

We describe and photograph chips, cracks or imperfections so please view all the images carefully as they are an important part of the description.

On the rare occasion an item is misrepresented or damaged during shipping because of poor packing, Bruce & Birdy's will refund your money, but will ask you either to return the item or send photos of the damage first. Please understand our need to verify damage before refunding.

All items are insured and everything sold will be carefully packaged to help ensure it arrives safely. Birdy is a recycling enthusiast so the shop often reuses clean, sturdy boxes.
