2 Booklets: 1908
Military Philippines 4th and 14th Infantry. Track Meet
booklet, Boxing, Swimming + Marksmen Qualifying Results

two (2) original booklets that detail information about:
a.) qualifying results, or
b.) competitions
in 1908 in the Philippines
involving personnel of the 4th Infantry and/or the 14th
Infantry.
All told, the
combined 36 pages of these 1908 booklets list over 500 personnel by name, rank
and regiment.
Events
in one booklet include qualifying activities for Rifle/Sharpshooter; the other booklet
details a “Meet” of Track & Field Events, Boxing, etc.
Both booklets are missing their covers so the context has been determined solely from their content.
I’ll
differentiate them in this listing with the designations “Small Booklet”
(it measures 4.5” x 6”) and “Large booklet” (it measures 5” x 8”).

Notes (from on-line sources): Hodges was Promoted to Brigadier General in April, 1907. He was assigned to command the District of Sulu. In 1908, he took command of the Department of the Visayas. Haynes served in the Philippines from 1907 to 1909.

CONDITION
Both of these original, historical booklets lack their
covers; and in the case of the larger booklet, it starts on page 5.
Otherwise, they are in good condition with moderate
wear.
The staples of the smaller booklet are rusted
and only partially holding the pages together.
The larger booklet has been folded in half
horizontally (I’ll ship it unfolded).
See scans and photos to evaluate condition and content
more fully.
