***A little info on Vicky Tiel, there’s a great article about her in the New York Times, we have added a few tidbits about her in the photos. Also, visit her instagram page, she is fabulous, and a hoot!

She is a designer who has been designing and making women’s dresses since the 1970’s and designing since she was a little girl. She started out attending Parsons and designing in America, and ended up in France, churning out her own line, being backed at first by good friend Elizabeth Taylor and then developing a cult following by celebrities and designing for famous actresses, movies and television. If her name does sound familiar it’s because she designed the famous red dress that Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman.

Condition:

Pre-owned vintage condition. One small rip to the lining of the train (clearly photographed and noted). Does not affect wear or exterior appearance. One of the rhinestones on one of the straps, has a thread missing. A seamstress can fix both of these issues.
