These vintage gloss Teema square bowls are classic Scandinavian pieces designed by Kaj Franck for Arabia Finland. Known for minimalist design in durable vitro porcelain, these iconic #7-style square dishes are in excellent vintage condition. One has some haze - signs of wear on the inside probably due to stacking. One stamp is worn but visible. The color is dark brown but maybe considered black. (See photos)

Arabia is one of Finland's best-known and most beloved brands. For 150 years, Arabia has been part of Finnish homes. Arabia Teema designs are timeless mid-century geometric ware.

These Arabia Teema Black Square Bowls are quintisentially modern, part of the collection which focused on simple shapes: circle, square, and rectangle. The dishes have markings with an "Arabia:A Made In Finland" stamp and the Teema logo (a crown and A). Arabia Finland pieces marked with "Made in Finland" and specific numerical, stamps (such as #7) often indicate production for export, particularly to the USA, during the mid-20th century (1950s–1970s). These marks were used to comply with U.S. customs requirements for imported goods. Vintage versions often bear the "Arabia Made in Finland" crown stamp. The original Arabia-stamped pieces remain highly sought after by collectors of 20th-century Scandinavian design. 

The square Teema plates are great for small bites like snacks, sides and desserts. Their simplicity brings sophistication to any table and they can be mixed and matched with the same color or other colors in the Teema collection.
