This large beautiful teapot has a dark blue and white transfer printed scene of Wadsworth Tower. This is an American historical scene of Connecticut. This pattern was produced by Enoch Wood around 1820 and it uses his irregular shell border. The teapot was manufactured in the Staffordshire district of England in the first quarter of the 19th century. The teapot is listed in "Historical Staffordshire An Illustrated Check-List" by David and Linda Arman, where a teapot in this pattern was valued at $375 to $500 back in 1974.

CONDITION: The condition is very good with some minor nicks and wear to the flange, that the lid rests upon. The tea pot does not sit flat as the base was made not perfectly straight and flat.
