How To Burn Palo Santo
What is Palo Santo?
Palo Santo, or Bursera graveolens, is a tree native to regions of South America. Its name translates from Spanish as “Holy Wood,” and it belongs to the same botanical family as copal, myrrh, and frankincense.
What kinds of artisans does Luna Sundara work with?
At Luna Sundara, we partner with artisans whose work supports and uplifts their local communities, creating a ripple effect that extends beyond where each piece is made.
What is smudging?
Smudging is a ritual practice used to clear and reset the atmosphere of a space, object, or person.
Is my Palo Santo sprayed with essential oils?
No. Our Palo Santo is not treated with added oils. Its aroma comes naturally from the wood’s own resin. Palo Santo oil requires a slow distillation process and large amounts of material, so it is not applied to the sticks.
