The speargun is not perfect but is a great beginner's gun or a spare speargun to have for a boat. It needs new bands and a rubber shock piece for the retrieving cord, which is NO big deal, since yearly replacement of the bands is routine maintenance to keep it in tip-top shape. It has small, repaired crack on the plastic housing, south of the trigger, so it should not be a problem. Also, there are few pieces of black plastic tape on the speargun that I have not removed (to inspect it further for defects), but the gun seems sound and useable. Study the pics carefully. Sold as-is.

SEAC STING 45 Spear Fishing Gun for Scuba Diving Speargun.

Description

This is for a SEAC STING 45 Fishing Gun with Spear for Scuba Diving Speargun.  The Spear Gun Body is mostly Metal and is approximately 27 inches long from end to end; and the Steel Spear shaft (including tip) is approx. 26-1/2 inches long, with a single flopper tip. The tip easily screws off. The spear shaft is in great condition (but the finish needs cleaning & polishing) and has Two (2) notches, so you can shoot it with Low fish hitting power or High fish hitting power. Trigger and safety switch both operate properly.

This speargun uses a time-tested design and is effective for both reef and rock fishing and for long range with heavy penetration. It has a GREAT effective range for spearing fish. Its size and power make it ideal for all types of spear fishing.

It may need the rubber power band replaced, which is NO big deal, since yearly replacement of the bands is routine maintenance to keep it in tip-top shape.

This speargun is a great all-purpose gun for small to large fish, just point, shoot, cook & eat. It's about just that easy if you're shooting this spear gun. The end result: a speargun that works better than it looks, as a fish catching machine.

OPERATIONAL NOTES: Have the safety on the "off" position. Then load the spear onto the barrel with the notches up. You will need to use a slight force to ram the spear into the locking position on the gun. Then turn the safety back on to lock the spear securely in the gun.
