**Item Description:**

For sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Antique Late-Victorian Cast Brass Photo Frame / Clock Housing. This piece was produced circa 1892–1893 as a commemorative souvenir for the famous World’s Columbian Exposition (Chicago World's Fair), celebrating the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's voyage.

The front of the ship's hull is ornately cast with the name "COLUMBUS". The reverse side features the authentic foundry stamp "DFP" (Deutschen Friedens-Spiegel Fabrik).

The frame features an incredibly detailed Renaissance style design of a mythical sailing galleon on open waves, featuring a stylized sea-god/Poseidon figurehead on the bow.

**Bonus Historical Detail:**

The central portal currently houses a charming, original antique sepia portrait photograph of an elderly Victorian woman.

**Condition:**

In very good antique condition for its age with a gorgeous, natural aged brass patina. No major cracks, breaks, or repairs to the brass casting.
