This is a PCI IDE/ATA controller card for compatible PCI Power Macintosh systems and Mac clones. It provides two internal IDE channels and supports up to four internal ATA/IDE fixed-media hard drives. The Tempo ATA133 can boot from attached drives and supports Mac OS 8.0 through 9.2 as well as Mac OS X. Sonnet rated the card for ATA/33, ATA/66, ATA/100, and ATA/133 drive support.
According to Sonnet, the Tempo ATA133 is compatible with many PCI-based Power Macintosh models including systems such as the Power Mac 7300/7500/7600/8500/8600/9500/9600, Beige G3, Blue & White G3, and PCI/AGP-era Power Mac G4 models, among others.
