This car has been my daily run-around and my trusty steed for long-distance work trips to London and as far as Scotland. It has always started first time, has never let me down, and is genuinely the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. It’s an absolute workhorse.
One of the best parts about the FR-V is the unique 6-seat layout (3 in the front, 3 in the back). It’s fantastic for road trips with friends or having your partner cuddle up right next to you on a drive! Because this is the top-tier Executive model, it comes with all the bells and whistles to make journeys incredibly comfortable. It's also very economical for long runs, I reliably get around 500 miles to a full tank on mostly motorway driving.
Included Extras and Great Features:
- Fully working heated front seats, heated wing mirrors, and a heated rear window.
- 6-speed gearbox and fully working reversing sensors.
- The car currently has winter tyres fitted, but a full set of summer tyres are included in the sale.
- Thule Roof Bars fitted and included (worth £185 new).
- Comes with a spare front number plate.
Maintenance, MOT and History (The Great News!):
- Passed and valid for a full year until April 2027.
- Had a fresh service just a few months ago in January 2026.
- I recently spent over £600 having the sills professionally repaired and welded, so the bodywork rust is sorted and structurally solid!
- I’ve owned the car for the last 3 years and it comes with full service history for my period of ownership (garage serviced for two years, and I serviced it myself for the other).
The Honest Bits:
As a nearly 20-year-old car with 153,000 miles on the clock, she isn't showroom perfect, and I have priced the car to fairly reflect this:
- There are some expected age-related marks on the bodywork.
- The air conditioning doesn't currently blow cold (it may just need a simple re-gas).
- The driver's side window switch is a bit loose. It still works, but you have to be gentle/cautious when rolling the window up (likely a very cheap and easy part to replace).
- One out of 4 cupholders is broken.
This is a genuinely fantastic, mechanically sound car that has had all the big, expensive jobs (like the MOT and rust) already taken care of. It will serve its next owner brilliantly.
