Testing and Condition Values:

Tubes are tested on a calibrated Hickok 6000A mutual conductance tube tester. Values are compared to the Hickok roll chart "average new" spec for this tester. (Because most testers don't test tubes at full plate voltage and because testers differ, the important spec is the percentage of average new value. This gives you comparable values across different testers.) You won't get a *true* Gm reading from 99% of testers out there.

  • NOS (New Old Stock): Tube tests at or above 95% of average new.
  • Tests Strong: Tube measures ~85 - 94% of average new. Plenty of life and excellent performance expected.
  • Tests Good: Tube measures ~75 - 84% of average new. Fully serviceable with solid life remaining.
  • Minimum Good: ~60 - 74% of average new, usable but nearing the end of its expected service life.
  • Tests Weak: Below 60% of average new. May not function properly in your circuit.  Light-duty use or other purposes are strongly suggested.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase.That said, understand the tube is extensively documented and marked in a way which is undetectable.

Shipping Info - Tubes typically ship next business day M-F. I do not skimp on shipping! Tubes will be securely packaged in NEW boxes to insure the item arrives to you intact. Shipping charge is USPS Ground Advantage. Other shipping methods are available but will likely require an upcharge - please let me know prior to purchase. In the unlikely event an item is damaged in transit, you must inform me within 48 of receipt so I may file a claim with the shipper. Free pickup in the Tampa Bay area.
