• The Sambonet PVD is a registered Know How. It is not a simple coating but is welded at an atomic level to the surface substrate, offering greater resistance to wear, scratches and the formation of rust or oxides.

PVD – acronym for Physical Vapor Deposition – gives objects valuable colors and shades, and is obtained from the deposition of metal particles by vaporization in a vacuum chamber. The coating is welded at an atomic level to the stainless steel substrate, providing the material with greater hardness and resistance to both friction wear and corrosion, inhibiting the formation of rust or oxides. Thanks to the use of non-toxic materials such as titanium and zirconium, PVD is in fact also used in the biomedical field as scalpels or surgical blades.

The one-piece knife is made as a single piece of steel. Unlike the hollow-handled knife, made up of two parts, here there are no interruptions between the handle and blade and, holding these types of knives, you perceive a pleasant sensation of heaviness and solidity.
