Original vintage children's admission ticket stub from the Chicago White Sox on June 17, 1973 at White Sox Park (Comiskey Park) in Chicago. Rain Check stub. Child ticket — under 14 years of age. Ticket #4055. Face value $1.00. Teal color. Printed by Arcus Ticket Co., Chicago.
Child tickets from this era are extraordinarily rare as collectibles — most were discarded or lost, making this a genuinely unusual survivor. For just one dollar, a child under 14 could attend a White Sox game at old Comiskey Park in 1973, one of the great bargains in the history of American sports. The teal color matches the adult night game box tickets from the same season, part of the White Sox's distinctive color-coded rain check system.
The 1973 Chicago White Sox featured AL MVP runner-up Dick Allen, the legendary knuckleball workhorse Wilbur Wood (48 starts that year), Bill Melton, Carlos May, and manager Chuck Tanner. The back references "White Sox Park" — the brief early 1970s alternate name for Comiskey Park — printed by Arcus Ticket Co. of Chicago. The original Comiskey Park stood for 81 seasons before being demolished in 1991. A wonderful and uncommon piece of baseball nostalgia.
