Gold gesso with raised scrollwork that is highlighted with small areas of blue and green

The part that distinguishes this from other frames from this time period is the design painted between the raised scrollwork. If you look closely you will see a floral design with red flowers and green leaf.

It’s a stunning frame

There are a few chips off the plaster but nothing significant on the front.

The sides are a bit more dinged.

This is still in very good condition for the age.

Bubble glass is intact
