This lens is used. The body is free from scratches/dents. Optics are good for the age, not excellent. There is visible fungus but is confined to the periphery of the image circle (see pictures). There is also some dust particles which is inevitable for a push-pull zoom of this age. It is basically a vacuum.

Fungus and dust doesn't seem to affect focus much (see unedited sample images). Sample images were taken on an adapted SONY a6500 with zero post processing (that means zero sharpening, zero contrast/color adjustments, SOOC jpg). Sample photos honestly show the natural color of the lens, which is warm and quite pleasing. Also note how smooth the out of focus regions render.

This is not a diamond in the rough, but it is fairly rare and can still make unique and pleasing images. If you have an older Nikon body or are interested in adapting this lens to modern mirrorless, you will enjoy the images you can make. If you are bored with ultra clinical modern glass, try some experimental wildlife, short macro, or portraiture with this lens. Plus you get a bicep workout carrying it around.
