08350 DM3MECH Mechanical Hot Tapping Machine Complete Kit for NPT 300psi w/case



1.Compatibility: Hot tapping machine kit works for piping, fittings and valves with NPT threads. Branch connections from 3/4" to 4" valve size on any appropriately sized mainline for most piping materials up to 300 psi.


2. Product Parameters: Valve Size: 3/4" to 4". Maximum Pressure: Chilled Water and Hot Water Systems 300 psi, Steam 15 psi. Maximum Operating Water Temperature: 250 degrees F. Pipe Materials: Mild Steel, Galvanized Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass, and Aluminum pipe.


3. Features: Eliminates the need to shut down, drain, cut, refit and refill piping systems.Fit Valve size: 3/4 - 4-Inch.


4. Watertight Seal Allows Drilling Under Pressure: Eliminates the need to shut down, drain, cut, refit and refill piping systems. Hot tapping drills in the pipe wall by inserting fittings such as service saddles or thread-o-let, which allows safe tying into a pressurized system by drilling while the pipe is still in service.


5. Note: Not recommended for ammonia, gas or other caustic systems. Not recommended for use on plastic pipe. Applying too much force while cutting the coupon can result in a sudden break through of the hole saw. A sudden breakl through may result in the coupon retainer striking the back side of the main and damaging the retainer. One can prevent this by cutting a spacer of 3/4" copper tube long enough to stop the retainer from hitting the back of the main. Slip this spacerl over the exposed shaft between the gland nut and the drill chuck.


6. High Quality: Constructed from high-grade steel with powder-coated. Hardened construction for high strength and impact resistance. Complete kit includes main body assembly, shafts, hole saw assortment, arbor and accessories in a storage case.
