Lot Of 2 VTG Antique Framed Heart/House Quilt Blocks Fabric From 1800s Read.
These are a matching pair bought at an antique dealers sale.
The smaller one is wood framed with hearts at each corner.
It depicts a heart and house.
The second one is also wood framed with 3 cutout hearts with blocks.
There is a nice story to these fabrics.
Hopefully they will find their way back to her family.
The quilt was made by Sarah Elizabeth Maness Drinkard from May 11th 1859 to Oct 31st 1927 so these fabrics are over a 100 years old.
The navy material with pink flowers in both frames was part of her wedding dress on August 29th 1887 so that fabric is nearly 150 years old.
These framed pieces were gifted to an unnamed person by this ladies granddaughter.
The smaller wood frame has a few dings to the wood pictured, the bigger frame has some scratches and wear and is padded at the back so not flat on the back.
Of course these fabrics are old and have some marks but these are still very displayable.
Non smoking home.
Smaller framed piece measures 14" x 10" wide.
The other picture measures 9.5" x 17.5" wide.
A nice piece of American history.
