📚 About Us

Oak Books is a socially responsible book business operating from regional hubs across Australia. Our mission is to reduce waste, create jobs, and make reading more accessible.

🌱 Our Practices

• 📖 We rescue books from being discarded by partnering with charities (e.g op shops and libraries).
• 👷‍♂️ We provide employment opportunities in regional areas for sorting, indexing, and listing and posting all our books.
• ✅ Each book undergoes a "cover" check in our regional warehouses. We check the covers and thumb through the pages looking for anything missing or torn.
• 📦 Orders under 500g are shipped as letters via Australia Post (without tracking), while heavier books are sent as parcels via AusPost or courier services.

⚠️ Important Notices

📸 Book Description Notice

Stock images are used for our listings and may not always match the exact cover of the book you receive. We source our images from online databases using the ISBN. If you're after a specific edition or cover, please confirm with us before purchasing.

If you are buying the book for any reason other than to read it e.g colouring book, a special toy that comes with it, you want a specific cover/edition it's safest you don't buy it from us used books typcailly don't include toys and have colouring filled in and the photos are taken from a database and are not of the actual book.

📖 Used Book Condition Notice

• 📌 All books are listed as "Used - Good" and are in excellent condition.
• 📑 Some books may show signs of previous use, such as folded pages, underlining etc
• 🏷️ A small warehouse sticker may be present on the book’s spine for inventory management.
