Famous for being the fastest land animal on planet Earth, cheetahs can reach speeds of up to 70 mph in a full sprint. While they aren't as large or strong as other members of the big cat classification, their speed makes them incredibly specialized and effective predators. 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: Throughout history, many different civilizations have seen and interacted with cheetahs and have incorporated them into their folklore and art. Cheetahs were once found in a much larger range that included Palestine, central India, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. However, due to many different factors such as habitat loss and fragmentation, they are now found in roughly 24 percent of their historic range. History: Unfortunately, pandas are a conservation reliant endangered species, meaning they require specific management to ensure their survival. While their population numbers aren't decreasing as rapidly as other vulnerable and endangered species, pandas have a very low birthrate in both captivity and the wild, and the production of offspring isn’t as common as one would hope.
