The unit is powered via Phantom from a mixer, but can also work from two internal 9v batteries (not included) - to ensure best possible headroom performance the box active components use an 18v supply
Primarily for direct connection of a bass or guitar, an input pad is included so that high level speaker inputs can be used as well
A Ground lift switch is included to avoid any hum issues
Unusually for a DI box, a +20dB gain boost is provided to enable it to raise the output of low level unbalanced sources and provide a balanced feed for connection to a mixer

The main balanced output is provided on an XLR
A transparent 'link' output is provided so that the box can sit between a guitar or bass and their amplifier
A separate unbalanced output is provided for a local monitor
