Description
This nearly complete recording of the September 23rd Albuquerque concert from the North American tour accompanying the release of "Fushichou" (Immortal Butterfly) spans 1 hour and 25 minutes, captured from the recently released stereo soundboard master. While the recording, which was directly connected to the mixing desk, lacks a certain live presence, the sound balance is perfectly balanced, the sound is incredibly powerful, and it offers a level of realism that surpasses even the edited and processed official live albums. It's also worth noting that the second Japan tour, which followed this tour in December, is structured almost identically to that tour. The opening medley and core "ABRAXAS" numbers are reminiscent of the previous year's Japan concert, "LOTUS," while the middle section incorporates new songs from "Fushichou" and includes tracks previously only performed in the mid-1970s, such as their first album, "Savor." There are plenty of highlights to explore.
