Antique Globe-Wernicke Barrister Bookcase with Drawer Base

This example features a Globe-Wernicke oak crown and base with drawer, along with four stacking sections.
Top two sections: stamped Macy, constructed in mahogany veneer
Bottom two sections: retain the original Globe-Wernicke label, marked Grade 299, Size D-10¼, constructed in oak
Original oak crown molding
Oak base with drawer and carved claw feet
Mixed stacks are common with barrister bookcases since the sections were manufactured to be interchangeable.
Originally used in law offices, libraries, and professional studies, these cases allowed books to be stored behind glass while protecting them from dust.
