This chainmail style purse came from a reportedly haunted estate in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is stamped "German Silver" which is not actually silver, but a white metal made of copper, nickel, and zinc.  There is also a patent date of Jan 4, 1910 stamped on it as well as the manufacturer P & B.

One side of the kiss clasp is missing and it is tarnished as shown in the photos.
