Pre and Early-1900 Century Atlas Maps are, in my opinion, the premier maps of their time, featuring quality paper, detailed printing, and beautiful subtle color combinations. These maps make great gifts; stunning art when framed/matted for home/office decor; historical, educational or genealogical tools; or a commemorative item highlighting your home state or memorable vacation/cruise. I own two, custom framed, to celebrate our home states, SEE SAMPLES IN PICTURES.

1897 MAP of North Central FRANCE and Vicinity of Paris, Plate No. 82, engraved by The Matthews-Northrup CO., Buffalo, NY. Prepared under the guidance of Benjamine E. Smith A.M., managing editor of the Century Dictionary, editor of the Century Cyclopedia of Names, Fellow of the American Geographical Society.

Foldout map page measures 12 3/4" x 17", the printed map is approximately 15" x 10 1/2".  This 129-year-old map is in OUTSTANDING CONDITION with a little toning or browning of the edges that can be mounted out of view if framing. Additionally, the gutter or center crease also has some but very little toning enhancing this seamless map.  You will also receive a copy of the dated Century Atlas Title Page. Map includes:

Railroads
Steamship Routes
Submarine Telegraph Lines
Battlefields
Canals
Lighthouses

Not all are perfect, please examine photos carefully (ZOOM IN) for any ceases, tears, stains, dog ear corners, missing corners, and/or gutter separation, etc. but I think you will find these maps in amazing condition.
