Great War era Austro-Hungarian Empire Badge for Naval Seaplane Observers as of 1918 Gilt tombak issue. 

White enameled wreath with the three colored state coat of arms, a red-white-red name shield "K" for Emperor Charles I (Karl 1) and a double-riveted, patinated and hollow-stamped albatross with lightning bolts. Two hooks for wear, maker "J. Zimbler Wien VII". Signs of usage. Traces of the original gold plating can still be observed in some of the recesses. 

One of the rarest aviation badges of the First World War.
