Beautiful but slightly flawed (see below) copy of the original 1989 first pressing of Thr Cure’s Disintegration LP on Elektra ST-E-60855-1. Rare audiophile Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) pressing, still in the shrinkwrap with the rare hype sticker. The disc is quite beautiful and plays mostly flawlessly and just beautifully. There is, however, a bit of loud popping at the very beginning of side one, just during the soft opening fade-in chords, but it stops as soon as the drums and kick in only after a few seconds. I don’t see a mark there but it does pop a few times but then the whole record plays flawlessly the rest of the time. There are a few entirely superficial sleeve scuffs but they don’t affect the play at all. The only flaw is this opening few moments. This direct metal mastering pressing sounds absolutely dazzling. By far this is the best sounding pressing that has ever been made. Unbelievable. The cover is also just about pristine, with only a tiny bit of corner wear. Not bad. The lyric inner sleeve is also included, of course. A very rare original DMM copy that plays just beautifully even considering the pops at the beginning. So rare to find one in the shrinkwrap with the hype sticker, too.
