This is a vintage hand crafted Kenyan cow bone bead necklace, dating to the 1980's. This unique vintage necklace features natural disc bone (heishi-style) beads in a double-stand design with two beautifully carved medallions depicting elephants. This is a design commonly associated with East African artisan jewelry.

It measures approximately 22" long and has a beautiful natural cream patina consistent with age, not a modern reproduction.

This is a vintage piece and comes from my own personal collection or that I inherited from my mom. My Mom traveled all over the world and collected beautiful objects especially hand made.
