Slubby, sultry, and straight outta Japan these could be your perfect pair, if you’ve got the thighs to handle them.
These ONI 707L WZR jeans are made from ONI’s legendary low-tension, slubby “Oni Light” selvedge denim, woven in Japan and rope-dyed with natural indigo. Lightweight and breathable, they break in beautifully without ever feeling stiff or bulky. This pair is tagged 36 and fits true in the waist (measured flat in the photos).
Cut is a modern slim taper, roomy enough through the top block for comfort, with a strong taper for a sharp silhouette. Natural indigo gives them a rich, matte tone with subtle variation that will only get better with time.
I bought these new from Denime and had them chainstitched to a ~29” inseam. They’ve been worn fewer than five times and soaked in a hot bathtub once and then air dried flat on my patio. They still have that crispy slub feel. Comes with the original Oni paper tag shown in the last photo.
Note: Since there are subtle variations in how people measure things, please use the ruler photos to confirm measurements before purchase.
I love these jeans, but they’re too big for me. Even if they were still in stock (they’ve long been sold out) with tariffs, I’m not even sure how much they’d cost. Get these while you can.
