This is a “New TV Robot” believed to have been manufactured by Japanese toy maker Horikawa Toys in the 1970s. Flip the switch on its back and it starts walking; when it stops, images of space appear on the TV screen on its chest. It's a very unique toy that starts walking again once the TV screen goes dark. The rust and faded colors give it a distinct vintage feel. It's perfect for a retro-themed room, of course, but it also makes a striking statement when displayed alongside pop-style decor.

It does not operate even when batteries are inserted.
