The Guatemala 1/2 Quetzal Banknote by the Bank of Guatemala in 1989. The banknote has a color combination of brown, green, orange, red, and yellow. Its obverse features national hero Tecun Uman, a flying quetzal bird, and a stylized temple with glyphs. The reverse depicts the Temple I in Tikal, Mayan glyphs, and trees. The banknote contains a registration device in the form of a Mayan man seated with a cup. It does not have a watermark or solid security thread. It is 156 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Fabian Bernardo Pira Arrivillaga, Mario Roberto Illescas Aguirre, and Lizardo Sosa Lopez. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
