Noritake Bowl Blue & White Lotus Design

Tek Sing bowl painted with flowers in shaped panels

My bowl was valued by an antiques emporium as can be seen in the last image...

In 1822 the Chinese Ship Tek Sing sank in the South China Sea together with it's cargo of porcelain.

In 1999 Captain Michael Hatcher found the wreck & salvaged the cargo which was all sold by Nagel Auctions in Stuttgart in 2000.

This bowl was on that ship. Hand painted lotus pattern in underglazed blue

Provenance on base

16 cm diam x 7 cm h

426 g

Please appreciate this is an antique, not brand new & very lovely nevertheless

[Please check photos carefully for condition - couple of marks in base attributed to age & use]

I recycle packaging wherever possible

I aim to post items the day after payment has cleared but this isn't always possible

Please note: eBay are now adding Buyers Protection Insurance to all listings so whatever price I set you will see a price that is inflated by a flat fee of £0.10 per item plus 7% of the item price up to £20
4% of any portion of the item price from £20 to £300; 2% of any portion of the item price from £300 to £4,000;
No fee for the portion of the item price over £4,000. I have no control over this.

Please also note: eBay are now compelling private sellers to use 'Simple Delivery' which is anything but! The postage price is now set by eBay and does not reflects the weight of the item or the extra packaging that is required for delicate items. I have no control over this

**Overseas buyers** I use the eBay Global Shipping Programme which has so far proved to be cheaper, faster & more efficient for the buyer ...eBay also deal with any customs palaver.  To find out the cost of shipping to your country just look at the postage area [under the submit button] & click on 'see details' on the 3rd line.
