This is an original oil painting by the artist S. Sankey, depicting a traditional Irish coastal scene of collecting seaweed.  It portrays a laborer with a horse-drawn cart and another in a small rowing boat (currach), gathering seaweed at low tide against a backdrop of white-washed cottages and rugged mountains.
