Marks, Age & Origin

Both items are stamped EPNS, meaning Electro Plated Nickel Silver, a common British silverplate standard.

The A1 mark is a traditional quality grade used by British electroplaters to indicate a higher-grade plating (often described as “best quality” in the letter-grade systems).

With no maker’s mark, exact dating is difficult, but based on the form and typical usage of A1 EPNS tableware, this set is most likely British, early 20th century (circa 1910–1930).
