Offered is a vintage Wales Japan little girl holding orange flowers figurine and reminiscent of Hummel figures.  This little girl is very special - she is nice and tall and quite colorful!  Please look at my photographs closely to see her sweet features! Some say these Hummel-Like figurines from Japan have become quite collectible over the past several years and sometimes command the same price as "real" Hummels.  This figurine is in very good vintage condition.  No chips, cracks or crazing.  There appears to be some minor paint loss.  See photos for details.

HISTORY

The New York Merchandise Co., Inc. was a company which imported and distributed ready-made items from various unnamed manufacturers located in Japan. They specialized IN tableware, miniature tea sets and figures, re-selling them under their Wales China brand. The company existed through the 1960s and closed around 1970.  Wales China stickers are sometimes found on items marked either with a printed or inmold (raised) crossed swords mark plus the printed addition "Bone China Lace". Like all other items that carry a Wales China sticker, they of course represent items created for the New York Merchandise Co., Inc. by another (unknown) company.
