Please note: By switch operation, the display language of the system menu switches according to the region setting. It will display in Japanese for NTSC-J and in English for NTSC-U/C. The in-game language varies depending on each software title.
[ About the USB-C Power ]
We replaced the heavy original AC adapter with a USB-C attachment.
Why is this better?
You do not need a step-down transformer. Japanese GameCubes are 100V, but by using your local USB-C charger, you can safely play anywhere in the world. It is also very compact.
What you need to prepare:
1. A Type-C to Type-C cable (Must be 45W or higher)
2. A USB-C PD wall charger (Must be 45W or higher). Not every laptop charger works. Check the label says USB-C PD and 45W or more. Lower-power chargers, including some laptop chargers and most phone chargers, will not run the console.
How to use:
1. Plug the included USB-C attachment into the back of the GameCube.
2. Connect your Type-C cable to the attachment and your wall charger.
3. Plug the wall charger into your local outlet.
⚠️IMPORTANT WARNING: Power Delivery & 45W Required
To turn on the console, please strictly follow this rule.
The GameCube needs about 39W of power. Because of this, both your charger and cable must support Power Delivery (PD) and provide 45W or more (like a laptop charger).
If you use a standard smartphone charger (without PD, or only 20W/30W), the console will NOT turn on. Also, a USB-A to Type-C cable will not work. Please make sure to use a Type-C to Type-C connection.
[ If You Use Your Own AC Adapter ]
If you choose to use your own AC adapter instead of the included USB-C attachment,
please make sure it is rated for your local mains voltage and outputs DC 12V / 3.25A.
A Japanese AC adapter is made for Japan's 100V outlets, so do not use one outside Japan.
Using an adapter with the wrong voltage or output may prevent the console from starting, or permanently damage it. Any use of a self-supplied power supply is entirely at your own judgment and risk, and as a store we cannot provide any warranty or accept returns for damage caused this way.
