This is a beautiful piece. Using the bark texture for the feathers is super unique. Also the natural wood grain on the tail is exquisite. The neck has been repaire - looks like cracked and glued but mostly looks like paint has been weathered (gives more of an aged looked) see picture.

The bottom has been glued where wood cracked. Very well made. Presents well. Having a hard time finding anything comparable on line in regards to workmanship. A fantastic collectors item or decoration piece.
