Beautiful two volume edition of Caxton's Mallory; Sir Thomas Malory's Classic Arthurian Romance Le Morte Darthur In a New Critical Edition, the First Since the Nineteenth Century:

Volume Two: Introduction Notes Glossary Dictionary of Names and Places; Bibliography edited and with an Introduction and Critical Apparatus by James W. Spisak based on work begun by the late William Matthews with a dictionary of names and places by Bert Dillon.

These are beautiful cloth covered hardcover books in a slipcase published by the University of California in 1983, a first edition. The books are in top, apparently barely used condition. The slipcase is frayed on one corner (see photo) but is otherwise excellent wjth only minor shelfwear. A beautiful, near pristine copy.
